Sometimes you have to go more than halfway to meet in the middle.

Caitlin Moore has every reason to celebrate. She’s through with law-school finals, and out for some post-semester fun when she runs smack dab into Eamon Blake, the Irishman with whom she had a summer fling years ago. Time hasn’t dimmed their lingering friendship—or their sexual chemistry.

Eamon isn’t looking for love when he bumps into Cat while he’s in Seattle on a job. Yet over the next year, he finds himself involved in a rekindled long-distance romance that moves from casual to a lot more.

That’s the rub. Cat is determined not to repeat her past mistakes with men and give up the dream job for which she’s worked so hard. Independence is something she’s spent years achieving. Eamon can start over so much easier than she can—why shouldn’t he make the sacrifice this time?

But Eamon doesn’t much relish leaving the life he’s been building in Los Angeles—and he really doesn’t like ultimatums. At an impasse, goodbye seems the only direction to go. Ending it is the right thing to do…or the biggest mistake they ever made.

Michael Warner has been drifting in a numb haze since his lover was killed by a drunk driver. As the anniversary of the wreck approaches, Michael’s grief grows more suffocating. Yet he must find a way through the maze of pain and secrets to live for their troubled young daughter who struggles with guilt that she survived the crash.

Out of the darkness comes a voice, a lifeline he never expected to find—Rebecca O’Neill, a development executive in the studio where Michael works as an electrician.

Rebecca, a former sitcom celebrity left scarred from a crazed fan’s attack, has retreated from the limelight and from life in general, certain no man can ever get past her disfigurement. The instant sparks between her and Michael, who arrives to help her during a power outage, come as a complete surprise—and so does her uncanny bond with his daughter.

For the first time, all three feel compelled to examine their inner and outer scars in the light of love. But trust is hard to come by, especially when you’re not sure what to believe when you look in the mirror. The scars? Or the truth?

London, 1897. A world that embraces both the logic of science and the ghostly explorations of spiritualism, a time period where one need only scratch at the surface of staunch morality to find outlets for the most carnal of sexual appetites.

Dr. Vincent Devonald, the third Baron Rashleigh has become known among occult circles for exposing the trickery behind spiritualist phenomena. He has plenty of reasons to distrust the renowned medium Serafina Grovenor, the most important being that her charismatic magician father Samael was behind the disappearance of his daughter Melissa ten years before. He doesn’t believe for a second that Serafina can communicate with spirits and he’s determined to expose her ability to create fire for the theatrical sham that it is. But he can’t deny the powerful effect that the mysterious young woman has on his mind and body as she draws him into her circle of intrigue.

Serafina lives in a world of manipulation and fear. She’ll do anything to keep her younger sister safe…including putting her total trust in the one man who had the ability to tame her potentially lethal fiery nature and show her the true meaning of passion.

Wishful, California, is 3000 miles from Dr. Emma Sinclair's last job in a New York City ER. It may as well be another galaxy. Here, running her father's clinic for a summer, Emma treats bee stings, stomach flu, and the occasional pet cat. Plus, she has to contend with patients like Stone Wilder: gorgeous, laid-back, and irritating beyond belief. The man laughs at her. A lot. And Emma loathes him. All except that tiny part of her that wants to throw him on her examining table and break every doctor-patient rule in the book. When Stones tries to help Emma learn to loosen up a bit, he pictures white-water rafting or scenic mountain hikes. Not a mind-blowing affair that shakes them both to the core. Emma's sure she has no place in a town like Wishful, but Stone knows different. Emma belongs here - in this town, in his life. It is convincing that this strong-minded, stubborn, sexy woman of that fact will be a challenge no Wilder man could resist.

Smart, sexy, and kick-ass brave, Kat has the fighting skills of a warrior and a sexual appetite few men can match--although most would happily die trying. But Kat has bigger problems than choosing her latest bedmate/plaything. She's caught in a post-apocalyptic world where only the rich live well - and Kat is determined to be one of them. To make her dream come true, the fearless treasure hunger has to get her hands on a lot of money, and that's going to take every bit of talent she's got, and then some. With her devoted partner and lover Damian at her side, Kat sets out to make one big score. The stakes are high and they get even higher when she discovers her rival, Hades, is after the same thing. Big, mean, and sexy as hell, he's just the sort of man Kat loves to take to bed...and will...if he can help her in her quest.

Now, two people whose fiery attraction grows more explosive by the hour are joining forces in a dangerous game, and a delicious discover of treasure awaits them in the dark.

Chris:

LOL - You always make me laugh! ::twitching:: right along with you girl!

Ms.M.!
You really should think about investing in one, they do pay for themselves in the long run (at least that is how I rationalized my purchase.) lol But they are seriously awesome!!

L

Thanks B!
I will, I'm looking forward to all of these actually.

Hope your day has gone well. :)

Hi Anna!

I was hoping you would stop by because it was through you that I learned of Hell Kat and Inferno and put them on my TBB list right away. I just LOVE the cover art and the read sounds so great. I'm going to review these ones for sure. ;)

L

Thanks Anne Marie!

I do seriously love book bingeing and this one was very therapeutic actually. lol You have an awesome week too. ;)

L

Hi Kara!

So great to see your note! I'm glad you found books that interest you in the list. :) I've had the print books on the TBB list for a while. The e-books, well I just can't resist MBAM. lol

You take care.
L

Hi Renee!

Yes, I've heard nothing but great things about Jill Shalvis' "Instant" series. I have the first one here too so I plan to read them in order. I like Lauren Dane's work very much. I'm enjoying "Undercover" and have read a couple of her shifter books as well as the "Chase Brothers" series which was really good too.

I can see the progression of her writing with Undercover though, very erotic, and there is a solid suspense/sci-fi subplot. ;)

Great post over at DIK this morning. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's and Wednesday's too. ;)

Thanks for your note!
